Sankalp is Vidyarthi’s annual flagship event that celebrates artistic dedication, cultural richness, and the journey of young talents across diverse art forms. It is a sacred platform where students present their learning, discipline, and devotion under the guidance of experienced gurus.
Since 2021, Sankalp was conducted exclusively as an online event, with recorded performances uploaded to Vidyarthi’s YouTube channel, ensuring continuity in artistic learning and outreach.
Following the inauguration of Vidyarthi’s first physical premise at Velachery on 20th August 2022, Sankalp transitioned to a live stage. Sankalp 2023 marked the first physical edition, held on 5th November 2023 at the prestigious Vani Mahal, Chennai.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 55 students across multiple disciplines. It was graced by eminent Chief Guests Dr. Sowmya and Dr. Udupi Madhumathy Prakash, who stayed beyond their promised time to appreciate the students’ performances.
A special highlight of Sankalp 2023 was the launch of Prakrti, Vidyarthi’s in-house devotional audio label, reflecting the institution’s vision to create lasting cultural contributions.
Held on 23rd February 2025 at Vani Mahal, Chennai, Sankalp 2025 marked another significant chapter in Vidyarthi’s journey. The event witnessed the participation of 70 students across multiple disciplines, reflecting growth in both scale and artistic depth.
The event was graced by Padma Shri awardee Dr. Nithyasree Mahadevan and Dr. K. R. Seethalakshmi, whose presence elevated the stature of the event and inspired the students profoundly.
A special highlight was the captivating performances by Vidyarthi’s esteemed gurus, reinforcing the rich guru–shishya tradition that Vidyarthi upholds with pride.
